In this section on my page, you get to check out some of my work in progress. In between studying and homework, I like to relax and do what i enjoy most. Model building! Some of you might think thats dorky or weak, but who cares what you think, hahaha. Rather than just post pics of completed models, I chose to post pics of work in progress. I think its more fun to see how they are built and what steps that leads to the completed works and also note the mistakes I make. Feel free to go back to my home page and post a comment on my guestbook. |

<--- In this shot, I just completed painting the motor, seats, and the firewall. I'm not sure if you can tell from this pic, but this motor has a type R Valve Cover! uuuooh . And a K&N air filter. Wow. and the headers are just stock. I also painted the seats with a flat black... This will make it look like its cloth, because cloth seats dont' reflect any light like leather, I personally like cloth seats better than leather. It is hella easier to maintain and its not that cold when you sit in it in the morning.. |
<--- Just finished painting the engine bay, Man I need some better brushes, Before you guys say anything, I know, I missed some spots, but the motor will go in there and cover it up and no one will notice it. I chose a gun metal color for the engine bay because i figure that it will be a little darker than the standard silver exterior. I also left the amp wires showing because I ran out of of that rubber hose thing they use for hiding stereo wires. |
<--- Here we have a picture of the fan, grill and the dash. Most of the time I just paint it while it is on the tree and thats what i did with this one. I painted the dash flat black and both the grill and the fan gun metal. |
With all the hoses and the engine mounts in place. The motor bay is almost done. I still have to install the tower bar in place. This picture has a little better lighting because I wanted to show off the chrome K&N intake. |
Damn, That looks like a stripped car! Brings back bad memories when I got my car back when it got stolen *sob*, In this picture I threw in the seats, arm rest and one of the door panels. You are probably asking yourself, why is there a red and blue wire hanging out? The Red wire is the hot wire for the amp and the blue wire is for NOS. |
This here is the body of the integra, I just painted 1 coat of silver on here and am still waiting for it to dry so I can spray another coat on. It dont' stop there, just like the real professional autobody guys do it, I'm gonna spray 5 coats of clear on there, so it'll be super shiny when I'm done with it. |

Right here are the different fix up parts that came with the kit. As you can see, there are a whole bunch of options. This is one of the better car kits I built and belive it or not, this is not a japanese kit. It is made by Revell. it comes with 3 different spoiler options! Wow, a combat wing, stock wing, and a type R wing. Also, it comes with different lips and different bumpers, with or without a body kit look. When this happens, I usually just keep it stock to avoid the Super Fobby Look. I built this kit for derek before, and in order to emulate his car, I didn't put on a spoiler at all and puttyed the holes, I was goin for the Someone stole my spoiler look. It didn't work out at all and my putty job stunk. I'm gonna try to avoid that this time and just go for the Type R look, without a body kit. |

After a long wait for some quality time off, I finished my Integra! Slaving way too hard for my term project on a stupid 70 page, Research paper, I finally got a chance to finish my integra over at Hung's place while watching some NBA playoffs on Sun. Mav's Win YAY! Lakers win BOO!. If you watched the Portland Laker game, you know that Scottie Pippen should retire. If he didn't do any of these things... they would have won... He missed a free throw at the final seconds, Left Horry wide open for a three, and then throwing away an inbound pass with 2 sec left... Anywho, enough about that,
On the right is a good example of not what to do, Always handle your blades with care. Here is a pic of a recent mishap while shaving off a piece off a tree.. ---------------------------------------------------------> |

Woah, I know, I know, I said earlier on this page that I wasn't gonna make this car fobby, but I asked Hung and Aaron for their opinions and they decided that the combat wing looked a lot better than the regular type R wing. I sorta agreed, with a model, I think it looks better, I would never do that with my own car though, I'm not sure if you can make out the licence plates, but I put on California plates because Cali rocks! |
Here is a picture of the finished motor. Notice that I put in the tower bar. Also notice the wooden stick that is holding up the hood. Honda's and some other cars are always like that, they don't make their hood sticks strong enough and last long enough. I always have to resort to using a stick or a pipe of some sort to keep the hood open. |
You really need to see it in first person to checkout how shiny the paint is. I put on an entire bottle of clear in my airbrush and put on many clear coats. I used a body kit front lip instead of the stock lip. I think it makes the car looks lower than it really is. I really wanted to lower this car and make it a low rider. But as you all know me knows what happened to my car. I hit one of those metal plates on balboa and 24th ave with my (at that time slammed) accord and took out my transmission and bent the frame on my car. Not wanting to that happened to my baby again, I opted not to lower any more cars in my life. |
Here is a cool shot of the side of the integra type R. I wanted to show off the rims. Chrome Fins, I think they were sorta cheesy, but Hung and Aaron liked it. After putting it on a side by side comparison with other non-chrome rims I had in mind, they were right, it did look better. |
<---- These are the finished pics of my integra type R. Off she goes in the show room and thats exactly where she belongs. Thank you for reading about my little project. I hope it was as much fun for you to read this section as I had much fun creating it. Until the next model !
ps, I'm probably not gonna do another until finals are done.. and thas at the end of may... so check it about then, I should have started something new. |

A Little Note about the Drinking Power scale, It is the number of drinks an indiviual can drink in an hour before throwing up... For Example, Ken's drinking power is 7, I once saw Ken Drink 7 beers in an hour at a party before. |
